Losing Weight Without Running

Posted in on 04.04.11

Once again, I am debunking a famous myth. Many today believe that you need to run, run, run like hell on a treadmill to lose weight. This is totally false. Let me repeat that. You do not need to run on a treadmill to lose weight. You can lose weight without running if you eat the proper foods.

For example, Suzanne wants to drop 35 pounds. Assuming she weighs 170 pounds, her goal is to get down to 135. I doubt Suzanne is an expert bodybuilder with lots of lean muscle, so I'm going to go ahead and say she is overweight. If she wants to drop those 35 pounds, she doesn't have to go out and run on a treadmill for 3 hours. She doesn't have to jog around a park with a CD player in her hand. She needs to stop eating junk.

If Suzanne truly wanted to lose weight, she would clean her diet up. Cut down to say 1,900 calories per day, and she will be shedding fat in no time. In fact, if Suzanne gets serious and sticks to a clean diet like my non-exercise diet for the next 30 days, she could probably be down to 150 pounds. This is without Jenny Craig, without Weight Watchers, and without the magic weight loss pill. As I've said in the past, it is not hard!. Keep your proteins high, your fats at a medium, and your carbs low. Buy a case of water. Throw out any beverages that have more than 0 calories, and any foods that have fake sugars. Get serious Suzanne, because in 30 days, your whole life could change.
